Maryn is 15 months old!

Sweet baby Maryn is 15 months old, well, actually 15 3/4 months...sorry, we've been celebrating LOTS of birthdays, flying in airplanes, playing with grandparents and great grandparents and dancing at weddings! I did take 'the big white chair' pics at 15 months and now that I'm looking back at them I realize just how much she's changed in the past 3 weeks alone! She is our little lover and hands out kisses and hugs ALL day long, she's our little mommy with a gentle and nurturing nature...feeds her baby and helped me feed baby Lauren her bottle when I was babysitting and she's our perfect sleeper:) 12.5 hours at night and a good 3 hour nap midday and an occasional 1 hour nap around 3:30. Go Babywise! She used to eat anything I offered her but the 'food jags' of toddler hood have begun:( Have no fear though...she's still got her fat rolls. She's a smart little cookie. Knows pretty much every body part and will lift my shirt looking for my belly button...in public:) Her language development was on hold for a couple months but took off again...mama, dada, dog, duck, car, cracker, eye, I love you (which sounds like eye yuv) and Nanny (my poor mom has yet to hear her say it).
She mimics everything we do and picks up on things so quickly. One afternoon, my parents were watching her and she was trying to get into a locked cabinet. My dad told her that she needed her keys in order to unlock the door. She quietly looked at him, processed the information, walked over to the diaper bag, pulled her play keys out of her play purse, walked back to the cabinet and tried to put the key in the lock. When her efforts were futile, she furrowed her brow and tried another key! We never taught her what keys were used for so we realized just how observant she really was.
Her hair is getting so long and her bows and clips are finally functional, not just ornamental. She runs, jumps, climbs and LOVES Gymboree class. She's currently a 'snaggletooth' with one top tooth in and the second just breaking through the gums. She's beautiful in every way with such a soft sweet voice, gentle touch and a heart as big as Texas. Not sure we'll ever be able to top her!

Thank you Grandma for the pretty dress

And since it was Bode's birthday, he was allowed in on the photo shoot
She looks up to her big brother
And thinks he's pretty funny too
She eats with a spoon all by herself and will demand to do so!
The first birthday party of the month was for our next door neighbor, Skylar, who was turning 4. The party was at the Children's Museum and let me tell you, this place is fantastic!!! We will definitely be having a party there one day. Maryn was the youngest child at the party by at least 3 years so it was fun to see her interact with older children...she was intrigued by them. Check out little Maryn on the left.
She was barely tall enough to see above the table

Thank you cousin Rob and Ruth Ann for the ice cream cone outfit...it was very fitting for the birthday party!
They even had a birthday parade. Maryn was the caboose and didn't realize she was suppose to follow the other children! She was left in their dust.
She definitely knew what to do with the mini shopping cart
"Don't forget the cucumber!!:

Then we celebrated Maryn's godfather, Uncle Tims birthday...and of course, he wanted to eat at Outback!
Next up, Makena's second birthday at Splash Island! We had so much fun at the water park that we have plans to go back real soon!
"Cheeessseee!"
If you haven't discovered these and you have a tiny tot, you need to! There are several brands that we use: Plum Tots, Ella's Kitchen, and Buddy Fruits. They are pureed fruit/smoothie in a convenient self feed pouch. They are great at the beach so you don't have to bring cut up fruit that just ends up covered in sand.
We got Makena a Bilibo seat for her birthday and she ran into the water with it! These spinning seats are great and encourage kids to use their imagination and balance. I bought one for Maryn but it's stashed away until Christmas:)
Happy Birthday, Kena!!

Ella
(who just became a big sister on August 3rd) Her baby brother, Cole, looks just like her too! Check out his picture at the bottom of this post....holding him at the hospital was like holding Ella 3 years & 9 months ago.....they've got their momma's mouth:)
My water baby had her first 'boo-boo' that required a band aid on her knee.
Scene of the crime

Makena's mommy even made bite sized cupcakes for the kids
And then we headed to Buffalo for Mac's good friend, Justin's, wedding. Bonus: We got to spend the weekend with Grandma and Poppop too! Packing with a 15 month old is F-U-N! I'd have half her suitcase packed, turn around and it was scattered across the floor. Or, I'd turn around and see this! Gosh durn she's cute!
This baby is, without question, ALL girl! She loves anything jewelry! She will sashay around the house covered in beads, pearls and bangles. This is how you'll find her when I'm getting ready,
like this,
or like this. She always goes for the turquoise Tiffany's box! Watch out daddy!
Uncle Tim bought her some Silly Banz and now she wants to sleep in them!

I babysat Lauren this morning and we had a ball! This little baby gave her mommy and daddy a run for their money for the first 12 weeks of her life...think colic & reflux! But, she is now as sweet as sweet can be! We played, we napped, we ate, we did some tummy time and Maryn thought she was her real live baby doll!
I had her belly laughing and squawking like a bird!
Maryn found a liking for the bouncy seat!

These two are 1 year & 10 hours apart. Lauren was going to be born on Maryn's birthday but she made her mommy push for 4 hours and was born in the wee hours on April 16th!
Maryn acted like such a little mommy, it melted my heart. I was just like this as a little girl:)

Welcome to the world
