Daily Digs and din din with auntie Heidi

Black striped retro tunic and purple leggings: Target
neon green mary jane socks from Val :)

credits: a mom on a budget :)

this girl cracks me up

she's seriously going to be creeping real soon!! good thing, cuz she needs to work off those chunky thighs!

We met auntie Heidi out for dinner to celebrate my birthday and Maryn got a gift too, a cute pink poodle!!

She is intrigued when people drink

she's grabbing for anything in site these days...straws, hair, noses, necklaces...

...notice the grip she has on Heidi's hair :) If it's not my hair, it's Bode's hair...it startles him but he deals with it.

I've waited 30 years to meet the 'apple of my eye' !

Uncle Nick stealing some cuddle time

I think she's been watching Bode for too long....she's now up on all fours!! Once she gets herself up there...she starts rocking and actually crawls BACKWARDS!!

Holy moly my mom is old!!!!!!

Thank you auntie Moe for the cute dress! It's size 3-6 months and just now fits her!! No worries...it was 90 degrees this weekend!! Ugh....I think it'll be adorable with a long sleeve onesie and jeans underneath too! Thank you

She's learning his tricks

Check out my MONKEY!!! This jumperoo is a baby must have!!!! She jumps and hollers like a chimpanzee! Still a little too short...those phone books have finally been put to good use.

Her first fruit....apples!! The sweetness puckered her lips for the first couple bites but she soon caught on that these were pretty good.

Yup....I want more please

playtime with daddy

October 10th and it's 90 degrees outside

Just too hot for clothes!!

The face of 30!

October 9th, I celebrated my 30th year of life...what's crazy is that I've spent 1/3 of my life with Mac...and I'd have it no other way.
He makes a pretty cute kid :)
My parents came on Wednesday to help babysit while I worked, had a doctor's appointment, a dentist appointment, a meeting at work on my day off and to allow Mac and I a quiet dinner out for my birthday. When we got home, we all had champagne and cake. Right as Mac was making a toast I looked at the clock and realized...it was 9:40 pm...the exact time of my birth!!

Mac was so proud of the cake in the shape of a 30!

Me and baby daddy

You know what he got me for my birthday???? An external harddrive for our computer!!! I take too many pictures of Miss Maryn!

My beautiful little family...I'm the luckiest 30 year old!

Thank you to all my friends and family for the birthday wishes! 30 years ain't so bad when you've got a beautiful blue eyed baby girl to show for it! Thank you for loving her!
And eventhough she was four days shy of sharing my birthday, I still love her oh so much!!!
Our friends Laura and Justin just had a beautiful baby girl

Everything sweet

Baby girl is just as 'sweet' as 'sweet' can be...

she has really started to master her new vertical view on life...she's now able to sit up and actually reach and play with her toys

and well...those eyes just speak for themselves...'sweet'ness I tell you, 'sweet'ness!

Her auntie Jaclyn bought her this outfit...it says "funny bunny" on the front....with that hair it's more like "fuzzy bunny"

And wouldn't it just be 'sweet', if they arrived just like this! In a basket dropped from the heavens onto my front porch. That would alleviate the weight gain, heartburn, shortness of breath, swollen hands and feet, tender breasts (sorry dad), and well the aftermath of a vaginal birth (again, sorry daddy). Oh I kid...I wouldn't have traded a single moment of those 9 months or the exact moment when they placed her on my chest. Words cannot describe.

sweet lovey

SWEET potatoes!

she is so funny...while she's eating, she makes the sound 'hmmmm', like she's really enjoying it

Warning...they will turn your poop ORANGE!!!! Since we've started solids, Maryn's poop has taken on a new shape and smell!! Gross topic, yes. It's funny because whenever all seven of my girlfriends from college get together, it takes about an hour before the conversation turns towards poop. We really don't try to talk about poop it just sort of happens. I was the first to have a baby, Anne just had Hudson in September and Raz is due on Halloween...I don't think the poop talk will end anytime soon.
'sweet' Wendy Hamilton came to visit baby Maryn from my hometown, Cleveland!! The Hamiltons are old friends of ours, but we consider them family. Wendy and Tom have four beautiful children ranging from sophomore in college to sixth grade, they were all in our wedding...the cutest kids ever! I babysat those children from the time the oldest was just 8 months old!! That's when I realize that I am turning 30 this Friday and I'm now a mother myself. I remember carrying those kids around the neighborhood on my hip. Thank you Wendy for coming to visit! It was so wonderful to see you!

When I was born, I had the same full head of dark hair like Maryn had. I never lost a single hair...it just kept getting thicker and thicker and thicker! So, I thought for sure that she was going to have my unmanagable thick hair. Check out my dads hair...he's 59 and still has every single strand of hair on his head that he had at 30 and maybe only 1 or 2 gray hairs. As I approach 30 :( I just hope I take after him.

and for Maryn...well, she's not so lucky!

We love you Wendy

Some 'sweet' suga' for mommy

There's just nothing 'sweet'er than a naked baby :)
